A delicious and creamy casserole made with egg noodles, ground beef, and cheese.

- 8 ounces egg noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (10 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
- 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish; set aside.
- Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions until they are al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the onion is softened. Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
- Return the skillet to the heat and add the condensed cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper.
- Stir well until everything is combined and the cheese has melted. Remove from heat.
- Add the cooked egg noodles to the skillet and mix them with the beef mixture until well coated.
- Transfer the beef and noodle mixture to the greased baking dish, spreading it out evenly. Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the casserole.
- Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until heated through, and the cheese on top is melted and slightly golden.
- Serve and enjoy!
Notes
- This casserole can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
- Feel free to add vegetables like peas or spinach for extra nutrition.
