Description

A delicious and creamy casserole made with egg noodles, ground beef, and cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (10 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
  • 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish; set aside.
  2. Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions until they are al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the onion is softened. Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
  4. Return the skillet to the heat and add the condensed cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Stir well until everything is combined and the cheese has melted. Remove from heat.
  6. Add the cooked egg noodles to the skillet and mix them with the beef mixture until well coated.
  7. Transfer the beef and noodle mixture to the greased baking dish, spreading it out evenly. Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the casserole.
  8. Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until heated through, and the cheese on top is melted and slightly golden.
  9. Serve and enjoy!
