Description
A delicious creamy chicken curry made with yogurt and spices.

- 1 ½ lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon chili powder
- ½ teaspoon turmeric
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 tablespoon garam masala
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, garlic, ginger, lemon juice, salt, paprika, chili powder, and turmeric. Add chicken and mix well. Cover and marinate for 30 minutes or overnight.
- Heat oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken until browned on both sides. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add tomato paste and remaining spices. Stir and cook for 1 minute.
- Lower heat and pour in heavy cream. Stir continuously until the sauce is smooth and simmering.
- Return the chicken to the skillet. Simmer until chicken is cooked through and sauce is thickened.
- Garnish with cilantro and serve hot with rice or naan.
Notes
- Marinating the chicken overnight enhances the flavor.
- Serve with basmati rice or naan for a complete meal.
