Description

A delicious shrimp and rice recipe cooked with garlic and butter.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup long grain rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook rice with chicken broth according to package instructions then keep warm.
  2. Season shrimp with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  3. Melt 2 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium heat then add garlic and cook 30 seconds.
  4. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook 2 to 3 minutes per side until opaque.
  5. Stir in remaining butter, olive oil, and lemon juice then coat shrimp evenly.
  6. Spoon shrimp and sauce over cooked rice and mix gently.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
