Description

Delicious chocolate caramel brownies topped with sea salt flakes, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
  • 2 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt flakes (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, cocoa powder, salt, baking powder, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time until the mixture is glossy.
  4. Stir in the flour until just combined and fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan and drizzle half of the caramel sauce over it. Swirl with a knife.
  6. Spread the remaining batter on top, drizzle with the rest of the caramel, and sprinkle with sea salt flakes.
  7. Bake for 30–35 minutes, checking at 25 minutes for doneness with a toothpick.
  8. Cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, try adding chopped nuts or additional chocolate chips to the batter.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
