Description

Deliciously crispy baked sweet potato matchsticks seasoned to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 4 sweet potatoes (scrubbed and cut into thick matchsticks)
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Place the sweet potatoes in a large bowl and cover with cold water. Let them sit for 30 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 450°F.
  3. Drain the water and pat the potatoes dry. Sprinkle the sweet potatoes with cornstarch, olive oil, paprika, and garlic powder. Toss to combine.
  4. Transfer the potatoes to a baking pan, making sure they are on a single layer.
  5. Bake for 18 minutes. Flip the potatoes over and bake for 10 more minutes or until crispy and done.
  6. Remove from the oven and sprinkle it with salt and pepper to taste.
