Description

Enjoy these delicious Spicy Tuna Rice Balls as a main dish or fun appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 can tuna, drained
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (or to taste)
  • nori sheets, cut into strips
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.
  2. Combine the rinsed rice and water in a pot, bring to a boil, then reduce to low heat and cover. Let it simmer for about 15 minutes.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the drained tuna, mayonnaise, sriracha, and a pinch of salt. Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated. Adjust the spice level according to your preference.
  4. Once the sushi rice is cooked, remove it from heat and let it steam for another 10 minutes.
  5. Fluff gently with a fork and let it cool slightly.
  6. Wet your hands to prevent sticking, take a small handful of rice, and flatten it in your palm.
  7. Place a spoonful of the tuna mixture in the center, then mold the rice around it to form a ball shape.
  8. Take a strip of nori and wrap it around the rice ball for extra flavor and zest.
  9. Your Spicy Tuna Rice Balls are ready to enjoy! Serve them as a main dish or as a fun appetizer.
